William Perry is a graduate student in the Department of Mathematics at MIT, having recently studied at Oxford. He works in the field of topology, studying shapes and their large-scale features, such as holes, twists, and higher-dimensional oddities. He spent the last three summers working at PROMYS, a summer program providing a formative experience in higher mathematics for talented high school students.
