I am a PhD student studying gravitational wave astrophysics at the University of Mississippi. I study spacetime ripples given off by invisible dancing black holes, and in my spare time I like to photograph the visible celestial bodies. My hands are on the keys for most of the day, either writing code for my research or learning the piano. I am passionate about increasing the public engagement of science. I do this through writing popular science articles and co-hosting a local science cafe here in Oxford, MS along with an accompanying podcast called Ssippin’ Science.
