Upon completion of her doctorate in Molecular and Biochemical Nutrition at Tufts University Stephanie accepted a postdoctoral fellowship in Science Education Research at the Center for Translational Science Education at Tufts University School of Medicine. In this role Dr. Tammen partners scientists with high school biology teachers to create engaging and timely life science curriculum focused around human diseases. Her research interests lie at the intersection of science literacy and personal health management. Stephanie spends a lot of her time talking about science to teachers and writing about science for high schoolers, and believes science communication is a powerful tool for all scientists to have in their belt!
