Shayle Matsuda

Shayle Matsuda is an MSc student at the California Academy of Sciences and San Francisco State University, where he studies the evolutionary history and biodiversity of brightly colored sea slugs called nudibranchs. His broader research interests include understanding the impacts of climate change on coral reef ecosystems, which he will pursue next fall (2015) when he starts his PhD at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and the Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology. When not in the lab, Shayle hosts the interactive science happy hour series "Science, Neat"
