Rose is a social scientist who works to support positive relationships between science and society. She is currently the Kavli Civic Science Fellow, working with scientific societies to better support scientists who engage with the public and policy makers. She advocates for local and federal climate policy with Citizens' Climate Lobby, curates online content for the Cognitive Science Society, and conducts research to understand best practices for communicating about science as a Research Fellow with the FrameWorks Institute. Rose earned a B.S. in Cognitive Science from Vassar College and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego. Her graduate research explored the ways that linguistic metaphor can affect cognition.
