Renan received his BS from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He's a PhD student in Systems Biology at Harvard University . He studies how cells make decisions at two different levels: how the molecular machinery in cells decides to interpret the genome and how cells decide what to eat when faced with several options. He believes that scientists should inspire others by making concrete and thought-provoking arguments that can clearly understood by others. He is part of a science communication non profit in his native Mexico called + ciencia por México (more science for Mexico) http://masciencia.org.
