Timing is everything, but context matters; this is the focus of my PhD research at the University of Arizona. Specifically I study how climate change impacts the ecological interactions between organisms, such as plants and pollinators. Although I grew up in Boston and studied botany at Humboldt State University in California, my current research takes place in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the Arizona Sky Islands. I explore science communication through hands-on education, writing, film making, and art.
