Mark Bayer is Founder of Bayer Strategic Consulting (BSC), a unique advocacy training firm helping scientists and engineers master insider techniques for making their voices heard by policymakers and other influential stakeholders.
As Chief of Staff in the Senate and House of Representatives during 20 years on Capitol Hill, Mark worked on the front lines of some of the biggest policy battles in Congress, including Obamacare and homeland security after 9/11.
This year, Mark has been keynote speaker for UNC-Chapel Hill's symposium on research communications, chief advocacy trainer for March for Science, and discussion leader at the 2018 AAAS annual conference, among other engagements.
Mark graduated from Cornell and received a Master of Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
