I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at McGill University (Montreal, Canada) with a research expertise in Arctic marine ecology and sustainability science.

I study the Arctic marine ecosystem, the ecosystem services it provides (ecosystem services are benefits humans obtain from ecosystems, such as food) to coastal communities, and their response to environmental pressures. My research is transdisciplinary in that use methods from across disciplines, from biological samplings to interviews, and I engage with a diversity of people, especially Inuit community members, to understand how the Arctic marine environment is changing, and the implications for people. I have worked in polar sciences for over a decade, from trips onboard research icebreakers to community consultations in Nunavut. My passion for the Poles and the marine world just keeps growing and I love to share my research and enthusiasm with the public.
