Katy Meyers Emery
Katy is a PhD candidate in Anthropology at Michigan State University, and received her BA from SUNY Geneseo and MSc from University of Edinburgh. Her research is focused on the divide between cremation and inhumation type funerary practices using cemeteries from Early Anglo-Saxon England as a case study. In addition to her research, Katy is a blogger and digital evangelist for mortuary archaeology. She writes the blog Bones Don't Lie (www.bonesdontlie.com), is the co-creator of GradHacker (https://www.insidehighered.com/blogs/gradhacker), and is involved in numerous archaeology outreach programs.
