Jessa Finch is a PhD candidate in Plant Biology and Conservation at Northwestern University and Chicago Botanic Garden studying the impact of climate change on native plants, with a focus on early life stages of milkweeds (Asclepias spp.). Her other research interests include seed ecology, ecological restoration, monarch-milkweed biology, urban ecology, and population genetics. She is committed to outreach, science education, and using public gardens as a means of increasing botanical literacy.
