PhD Candidate, John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Gloria is a fifth year graduate student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She studies how the natural aging process of the skin impacts the progression of melanoma (and what we can do to help!). Beyond the bench, Gloria is passionate about communicating science to audiences outside the ivory tower. Her writing has been published in multiple media outlets including Massive Science and Biomedical Odyssey. She also runs her own blog, Bare Bones Biology, which aims to cover relevant topics in biology in an approachable way. Gloria was a ComSciCon ‘21 attendee, and she is super excited to be joining the organizing committee this year on the logistics committee.
