In addition to research, Fay is an active mental health advocate in STEM on campus and around the world via her social media presence. She has partnered with platforms, such as PhD Balance and Chemistry & Engineering (C&EN) News, to provide online video chats, written articles, and panel discussions about graduate student wellness. She is currently the co-host of Grad Chat from PhD Balance, a weekly video series on YouTube live which invites academics at varying stages of their careers to share how they maintain mental health and balance in grad school.
