Courtney Humphries is a freelance journalist and author in Boston who writes about new insights and developments in science, medicine, and the built environment. She has written for the Boston Globe’s Ideas section, MIT Technology Review, Nature, Science, New Scientist, Nautilus, and other publications. She’s the author of Superdove: How the Pigeon Took Manhattan….And the World, a nonfiction book on the natural history of street pigeons. She has a masters degree in science writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Courtney will be a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT in 2015-2016.
