Cora is a PhD Candidate in Human Nutrition at Cornell University. Her research aims to better understand the unique metabolism of vitamin D during human pregnancy and to improve assessment and interpretation of vitamin D status during this life stage. She is interested in good solutions for improving public health and nutrition status and is enthusiastic about systems-level solutions, which require dialogue and action across disciplines/sectors. She is also on track to soon become a registered dietitian nutritionist. Cora worked for several years before joining the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell in 2013, first in international development and humanitarian assistance with the UN World Food Programme, then as Clinical Trials Coordinator for the Weight Management Program at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Cora aspires to contribute to and foster collaborations to improve public health and nutrition research and practice capacity globally.
