Chiungwei Huang, PhD
Chiungwei is a chemist and a science communicator. She earned her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2021. Her doctoral research focused on nanometer-scale optical techniques and nanomaterials. She has written for multiple STEM blogs and institutions, and she has been active in science communication outreach. In the summer of 2021, she wrote for North Carolina Health News as a UNC TIBBS ImPACT scholar intern. She holds an M.S. and a B.S. in chemistry from Taiwan and has worked as a tech-product engineer. She enjoys podcasts, coffee, and scientists cross stitch. Chiungwei is based in Tennessee with her two children and husband, who is also a chemist.
