Brooke N. Dulka (she/her/hers) is a postdoctoral researcher in neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research investigates the role of the brain’s ubiquitin-proteasome system in age-related memory decline. She is currently a member of the NPR SciCommers community and is the editor for Awake & Alive Mind. Brooke also does freelance science writing and has published articles in outlets such as Scientific American. In her free time, she enjoys reading fantasy novels, drinking tea, playing Zelda, and spending time with her dog.
