Andy Sanchez is a second-year PhD student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University. Under Dr. Brian Kirby, he’s developing a new way to test for Lyme disease. He’s active in the science policy community at Cornell, as a member of BEST and ASAP and a participant in various policy-based activities, such as the Science Policy Bootcamp and the MIT Policy Hackathon. Andy also participates in mentorship and outreach organizations through his department (CBE WOMEN, Curie/Catalyst) and the Latino Studies Program (Mi Communidad). He loves running, soul music, and bouldering.
