Liz Albertorio

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Liz Albertorio is an advocate for the creation of physical forums where scientists can interact and communicate their current research with the general public- both in English and Spanish. As an immunology graduate student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, she is interested in understanding the complex relationship between platelets and the immune system. In her spare time, you can find Liz practicing tango or extracting strawberry DNA at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, where she engages visitors to learn about Biology.
