Dr. Brian Aguado completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University in the Biomedical Engineering department as an NSF Fellow in the summer of 2015. He also holds a B.S. degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. His thesis work focused on developing an implantable biomaterial scaffold for the early detection of metastatic cancer cells. When he's not in the lab, Brian is a web writer for the Biomaterials Science blog and participates in various outreach activities including Northwestern's Oncofertility Summer Academy.
